Missions Spaghetti Lunch

Sunday, February 12th, 2012

From 10:30-12:30, come enjoy a delicious spaghetti lunch in the  FUMC gym.  Eat in the gym with your church family or take it home with you.  Homeless US Veterans staying at Isaiah House in South Jackson will be preparing and serving the meal.  All proceeds will go directly to help the veterans.  $5.00 tickets are available from the church office or Rev. David Greene.

Missions Garage Sale

Volunteers are needed for sorting, pricing, some cleaning, setting up and other simple tasks.  Please contact Lisa Bullock if you are able to help with pricing and organizing the donations.

The trailer is at the church and ready for storing your items to sell.   The sale will be Friday and Saturday, April 13th & 14th.  Friday hours are 4-8 p.m., with an early bird entry from 2-4 that will cost $5.00.  Saturday hours are from 6 a.m. until noon.

Coffee with the Pastors

Sunday, February 12th from 2-4 p.m. in the sanctuary parlor.

If you have been worshipping at First United Methodist Church and have a desire to learn more about our mission or have an interest in becoming a member, please plan on joining us on February 12th. This informal gathering is led by senior pastor, Rev. Mitchell Hedgepeth and associate pastor, Rev. Clint Ware. Information will be shared about FUMC and there will be a tour of the church facility. RSVP to Linda at the church office (924-6671) if you would like to attend. Nursery available.

Senior Adult Events

On Tuesday, February 7th, a trip is planned to Philadelphia. Tours are scheduled for the Depot, First United Methodist Church, Neshoba County Historical Museum, Holy Rosary Indian Mission, Choctaw Museum, and a stop at Williams Brothers. Lunch will be at “Peggy’s.” The bus will leave our church at 8:15 a.m. for this full day of activities.

UMW Circle Information

The United Methodist Women would like to inviteall women to be a part of the UMW. We have two wonderful Circles. Grace Circle meets the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. and the Circle Leader is Pauline Akers. Naomi Circle meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The Circle leader is Margaret Davis. We would love to have you be a part of this organization. If you have questions please feel free to contact the church office or one of the circle leaders.

C.A.M.O. Kids

Christ’s Army/Mother’s Outing

C.A.M.O. Kids is a free baby-sitting ministry within FUMC for the parents of any age children. All baby-sitting will take place in the family home by a trained youth or young adult from the church. This ministry will provide the payment for the sitters from our fundraising efforts.

What is C.A.M.O. Kids?
