Families who had their picture taken for the directory can pick up their copy on Sunday or during the week in the church office. Each pictured family can get one copy.
Youth Minister Wanted
FUMC is seeking a committed, passionate, motivated person who loves the Lord and is able to effectively reach, lead, equip, and train youth (7th – Post High). This is a full time salaried position. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree from a college or university and/or 3 to 4 years of experience. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: relational/spiritual growth in the youth; developing a team of youth leaders; planning, directing and communicating youth activities including weekly meetings, service projects, retreats, mission trips, fundraisers and special events. Easter Lilies
Call the church office now to order your Easter lily in memory or honor of a loved one. These will be placed in the sanctuary on Easter morning, and you will be able to take them home that day. This is a great way to help decorate our sanctuary.
The cost is $10 for each lily ordered. Don’t wait–call Linda Pope in the office to order now!

Stop Hunger Now
One quarter per meal will feed a hungry child for a day. If you haven’t received one of our collection banks, stop by the church office and pick one up. The money collected with these banks will help fund our meal-packing event on Wednesday May 9th. Your help can make all the difference!

Thursday Pot Luck
The monthly Thursday Pot Luck Luncheon will be on February 23rd at Noon in the Gym. The “Riggs Manor Ramblers” will sing for us. There are 15 of them and they will be joining us for lunch, so please bring an extra dish! Join us for food, fun, fellowship, and entertainment.
Parenting Seminar
John Rosemond will be at Christ United Methodist Church Sunday February 26 hosting a seminar on Effective Parenting & Discipline Seminar. Sessions are from 1:30-3:00 p.m. and 3:30-5:00 p.m.. Tickets are $15 per person for one session or $25 per person for both sessions. Call Renee if you are interested. If we have a group wanting to go we will take a bus and offer childcare.
First Tuesday Ladies
First Tuesday Ladies – a group for fellowship, fun, Bible study and mutual support for widows – meets on the first Tuesday of the month. See the weekly newsletter for information on where and when the group will meet or call the church office.

Volunteer Training
There will be a volunteer training session on January 29th at 4:30 p.m. in the Gym. This meeting is for church volunteers and all Sunday School teachers. We will go over some guidelines and responsibilities, as well as looking over our safe sanctuary information. Please make every effort to attend.
Happy Birthday Jesus
Children ages 3 through 5th grade will love this party. On December 4, the children will go to their normal Sunday school room, and will be escorted to the gym. There will be several stations to visit, with Christmas stories and a live nativity provided by the youth of our church. A snack will finish up the party. This annual event is enjoyed by everyone and we hope to see you there!
