About

THE  CONNECTION WORSHIP SERVICE

The Connection was started in January 2007 and has developed into a service that brings a life-changing message each week, and includes a blend of traditional and modern hymns and praise songs chosen to help bring worshipers closer to the heart of God.

The style of worship is free and interactive, where all are encouraged to participate in whatever way they are most comfortable, whether it be standing and clapping or sitting in personal reflection. There is no dress code in hopes that all will feel welcome to come as they are and draw near to God in this atmosphere of joyous hospitality in Christ.

Pastor Clint Ware

Pastor Clint Ware

Our service is led by Pastor Clint Ware, who joined our church in June 2008. He and his wife Cheri, and their three children, Cara, Wesley, and Courtney, last served at Avon and Glen Allan United Methodist Churches in Washington County. Clint has the heart of a servant and loves to teach from God’s Word. He challenges the congregation to get off the pew and outside the church building in order that we might experience the joy and exhilaration of loving the lost by serving them in the name of Jesus.

The Connection includes all age ranges and brings together people from every different background and status. Worshipers are encouraged to get to know and share their lives with one another in Christian fellowship, in the hope that as we worship together, we are challenged and strengthened to fulfill the great commission by helping connect others to Christ.

Worship Leader for the CXN

Casey Combest

Casey Combest leads worship at the Connection, along with a rotating group of musicians, including Carrie Wilson, Doug Amacker, Ty Garvey, Tony Abercrombie, Don Barr, and others. Casey also leads the College & Career Bible Study on Tuesday nights. He selects music for the service that is the best of modern worship and also blends in the contemporary, so the singing is always drawing the worshiper closer to the cross. Casey’s desire is to listen to what the Lord leads him to do. He encourages active participation in the service by the congregation.
