“Hey, friend!”
Several years ago one of the big things happening in youth ministry was the youth choir. Everybody who was anybody sang in the youth choir. It really didn’t matter if you could sing. For us guys, that was where all the pretty girls were hanging out. Pretty girls – youth choir – teenage boys! All friends!
I like these friendship quotes:
- “Good friends are like stars…You don’t always see them, but you know they are always there!”
- “When it hurts to look back, and you’re scared to look ahead, you can look beside you and your best friend will be there.”
- “Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart”
- “A friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself.”
- “Everyone has a ‘best friend’ during each stage of life-only a precious few have the same one.”
- “A best friend is like a four leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have.”
This week we will be recognizing our graduates. What milestones they have achieved! What stepping stones they have crossed. What friendships have grown!
Please join us for worship Sunday as we honor the accomplishments of these young people, but also discern with them what the Spirit of God offers us for the future!
John 15:13 reads, “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”
