All Grub Fees must be paid when you and/or your Scout sign up to attend a campout. The grub fees will always be $10.00 each for the Scout and adult attending the campout. This fee is used to purchase all the food needed for each patrol during the campout.
The Grub Master, an appointed Scout in each Patrol, is required to use the grub fee to purchase all groceries needed for the campout. Each Patrol will make a menu for the entire weekend and give the list to the Grub Master to use when purchasing groceries. The Grub Master will know how many Scouts from his Troop will be participating in the campout which will help ensure enough groceries are purchased for the entire weekend and for each Scout.
When purchasing the food, please purchase all grocery items chosen by the patrol and purchase enough to feed every Scout participating in the campout from your Scout’s Patrol. This is the only food the Patrol will have during the campout. Each patrol is responsible for their own grub and the Grub Master must provided the food needed for the entire weekend.
Adults going on campouts will follow the same procedures as listed above. Usually, one adult volunteers to purchase the food while another volunteers to cook. The adults will be camping and eating separately from the Scouts.
With so many groceries being purchased by one family, it is important to pay your grub fees on time (at sign up).
