Knowing Our Spiritual Gifts

Have you ever considered how you are involved in the ministry of Christ?  Would you like to be nurtured and empowered to apply your God-given gifts?  Do you ever wonder if you are really being able to work in the life of the church and your community using the abilities you have for teaching, praying, giving and much more?

Well, SPIRITGIFTS is an exciting way to discover and grow one’s God-given gifts for service and leadership for the Kingdom of God.  During October we will be providing biblical foundations for understanding our spiritual gifts within the Body of Christ.  As individuals and as a church we will begin to discover God’s will and directions for our lives as we claim and apply our own spiritual gifts.

We will begin by looking at how our children’s ministry is actively involved in the life of the church community using their gifts on Children’s Sabbath, October 10.  The week of October 17 we will celebrate Laity Sunday.  In week three of our study we will be reflecting on what it is that we do in the ministry of the kingdom.  And then, on the last Sunday of October we will recall the lives of the Saints who have gone before us with All Saints Day.

Why not make special arrangements to join us at First United Methodist Church for Sunday School and Worship as we teach and preach about the importance of using our SPIRITGIFTS?
